CQR Galvanised Anchor

Iconic Heritage
Renowned worldwide and instantly recognisable, the Lewmar CQR® Anchor stands as one of the most trusted anchoring designs in the history of boating. Originally developed to meet the demands of naval and expedition use, the CQR® has earned a legendary reputation through decades of real-world performance. Favoured by cruising sailors, commercial operators, and blue-water adventurers alike, it remains a benchmark for dependable anchoring.
Proven Design Principle
The CQR ® Anchor is distinguished by its hinged shank, a defining feature that allows the anchor to align naturally with the seabed as conditions change. This articulation helps the anchor reset itself with shifts in wind or tide, maintaining consistent holding and reducing the risk of breakout. Its classic plough profile promotes reliable penetration and steady performance across a wide range of seabed types, including sand, mud, and clay.
High‑Strength Drop-Forged Construction
Manufactured using the original drop-forged process, the Lewmar CQR ® Anchor offers exceptional strength and structural integrity. This traditional forging method produces a dense, high-strength anchor body capable of withstanding high loads and repeated stress without compromise. Each anchor is then hot dip galvanised to provide long-term resistance to corrosion, ensuring durability and reliability in harsh marine environments.
